Emerald Isle Properties will be holding a free workshop on the basics of home ownership at its Kilauea location at 6 p.m. Sept. 22.
The ABC’s of Home Ownership will offer advice about income, credit-debt problems, down payments as well as focusing on aiding anyone who wants to own a home.
The workshop is also a talk story session for the community to discuss the island’s affordable housing issue.
Joining Emerald Isle Properties is locally-born and raised Taylor Kaluahine Reid, who has returned home with her real estate license and dual degrees in communications and political science from UH.
Others are also encouraged join the workshop to bring together a small group of real estate agents to represent the people of Kauai.
The new office is at the Historic Plantation Center on Lighthouse Road.
