Lenny Rapozo said his son Kelsen is the youngest Kauai Officials Association referee because Kelsen is still 11 years old and helping to referee the Kauai Pop Warner Football League new NFL Flag Football program.
Dallas Correa was 12 years old when he started doing officials duty, Lenny said.
Kudos to KPWFL president Teddy Arroyo (Arthur Brun said Teddy and KPWFL commissioner Bryan Aiwohi were doing officials duty during the Friday night football game) and the five Pop Warner associations on hosting a great Jamboree to announce the 2016 season which starts Saturday from 8 a.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
Cherie Linoz of the Hanapepe Colts association said the JAMZ camp was really great with a lot (!!!) of Kauai cheerleaders being invited to participate in the NFL Citrus Bowl (Reyna Arellanes said it happens around the time of her birthday, and Christmas).
The Vision Van (Annie Valentin said it’s leaving for Maui on Wednesday) was on hand for free screenings.
Happy Labor Day, Kauai — don’t forget to stop in at the Lihue United Church for Labor Day Breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m.
