Monday is a chance to visit with Marlena Bunao, who might be helping out at the Labor Day Breakfast hosted by the Lihue United Church (they’re behind King Auto Center) from 7 a.m.
It’s also a good way to unwind from the long weekend, including The Kauai Marathon (kudos to Jeff Sacchini and his awesome crew) which is going off as people read this.
Faith Campbell of the Wilcox Health was thrilled to present this year’s wellness expo, where people could pick up their marathon packets.
Darla Domingo of Kauai Coffee said she was not running because Kauai Coffee was doing service at the start line, the finish line, and a lot of events in-between, including the Wilcox Health Sports and Fitness Expo.
Urslina Munar was on duty for the first time at the expo with HMSA, but was already thinking ahead to the St. Theresa’s Carnival (it’s in the spring). Ruchita Chand came from Honolulu to help at the HMSA booth. She was here for the Back to School Bash, and was looking ahead to the Friday Night Art event in Hanapepe (nope, we got football).
Veronica Pablo (she works at the Grand Hyatt) said her mom Josie was probably busy, so she missed coming in with the Divas and Dudes (Dorrie Michioka said they’ve been recruiting).
