KAPAA — The big guys already went by a long time said Jeanelle Somera of the Pono Kai Resorts, Sunday morning.
The Pono Kai Resorts coordinated with Malama Pono Health Services to add a keiki ride component to the Paradise Ride, a two-day, 100-mile bicycling event.
Young bicycle riders had an opportunity to have their bicycle helmets fitted, have some instruction in bicycle handling and safety before leaving on Ke Ala Hele Makala‘e multi-use path to the Kapaa Neighborhood Center turnaround and return to the Pono Kai Resorts.
They also received goodie bags prepared by the Pono Kai staff filled with school supplies, a healthy snack from Ono Pops, and other premiums.
Paradise Ride is one of the signature fundraising events for the Malama Pono Health Services.
