KBFD started its High Definition service last year on May 11. On July 27, KBFD started testing of its secondary channel Arirang TV in High Definition. For those who watch KBFD over the air on our UHF channel 32.1 and 32.2, you will now see two HD channels. For those who watch KBFD and Arirang TV on cable systems, you will be able to watch Arirang TV on Hawaii Telcom on channel 1022 in HD.
We are officially launching Arirang TV in HD on Aug. 15 to commemorate the 71st anniversary of Korean Independence Day, also known as Liberation Day. KBFD is the first in the U.S. to broadcast Arirang TV in HD and also the first Korean TV station in the U.S. to broadcast two separate HD signals over a single channel marking another milestone on our 30th anniversary year.
Arirang TV is a Korean channel broadcasting cultural, educational, entertainment, drama, documentary and K-pop programming in English. Television broadcasters who transmit in digital are able to transmit multiple signals over the air on a single channel called multicasting.

‘My Daughter, Sawol’

Today, 6:30 p.m.: Dukyeh brings Sawol out from the wedding ceremony. Min-ho sheds tears when he finds out that Sawol is his daughter. Ki-hwang and Sae-hoon have solid proof of Hyesang’s involvement in Owel’s accident. Sawol goes up to the hospital roof after she finds out the truth.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Man-hoo tells Ki-hwang that Hyesang is responsible for Owel’s accident. Hyesang feels anxiety when Sae-hoon takes on Owel’s case. Dukyeh receives a text that Man-hoo has kidnapped Sawol.

Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: After much contemplation, Hye-jung decides to take on Soo-chul’s surgery. Hye-jung is thrown into frantic confusion when Soo-chul’s blood pressure goes dangerously high during surgery. Yoon-do professes his feelings for Hye-jung.

Seung-in and Young-kwan visit Ha Dong-min at a holding cell and witnesses a shocking scene. Soo-hyun disguises as a doctor and visits Bo-yun at the hospital.
