POIPU — There will be at least two more Flavors of Kukuiula before the year is out, said Helaine Perel, manager of The Shops at Kukuiula.
“The next one will be during the weekend of The Kauai Marathon,” Perel said. “And then, we’ll have one in November.”
The Flavors of Kukuiula — Plantation Style unveiled a variety of cuisine served “street food” style, peppered with music from the John Rivera Trio and Friends, the Roundhouse Ramblers, David Parsons Duo, and Gypsy Spice.
“I did my part,” said Mike Perel. “I got the venison sausage from Merriman’s, and the Roundhouse Ramblers? I heard them when they played at a friend’s birthday party.”
Cece Villanueva was more interested in Gypsy Spice who welcomed the evening with some latin flair.
“I like their music,” Villanueva said. “We come just to hear them play. Do they have a CD out? Of course, the food is always good, but I like the music.”
The first strains of music usually start at 5:30 p.m. and carries until the night ends at 8:30 p.m.
