Sheena Juliano, newly crowned Miss Kauai Filipina, was there (Miss Kauai Filipina 2014 Kiana Pigao was enjoying the mall with Caitlin McGee and Rachel Wells before their afternoon sports camp presented by the Unchartered Waters Sports Ministries). Harley Broyles and Jaeda Vega were doing a final push as beauty queens before relinquishing their titles at an Aug. 6 pageant, and kudos to Haley Lord (she’s only a summer intern) on a great job coordinating the free back to school supplies distribution.
Faith Campbell from Wilcox Hospital was dressed for air conditioned office, but came out, and Monica Belz of Kauai Community Federal Credit Union said you know you serve the community when you sweat.
Mary Lardizabal brought a bunch of her Kapaa Middle School Ukulele Band players and parents, and Kelvin Moniz (he’ll be doing a Kauai Indpendent Food Bank food drive, Friday outside of Safeway) was glad he is now a Lions Club Past District Governor.
