Tepairu Manea was excited to be able to work with “master Tahitian drum maker” Tuhiti Stellio during the Kauai Tahiti Fete (kudos to Carol Akau-Casil on spearheading a great event!).
Firipi G (he’s already preparing for the fashion show at the Heiva i Kauai) was able to get a booth space where he could showcase some of his shell and black pearl jewelry (very unique). Firipi only recently moved here from San Diego, California, and got help from Nelson Batalion (he looks really good in a Firipi creation, too) in finding his way around the island.

Marli Genegabuas, the Miss Garden Isle Teen, was busy with the Mauka to Makai anti-bullying symposium is getting ready to turn over her crown, Aug. 6.
OK, time to get ready for the Back to School Bash, Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Chantal Zarbaugh and Stacie Chiba-Miguel will have their Kukui Grove crew helping pack the 1,700 bags of school supplies starting today.
