Avery Kano, director for the Miss Kauai USA and Miss Kauai Teen USA, said Kauai young women still have an opportunity to register for this year’s pageants.
“We are in the final stage of recruiting for the Miss Kauai USA and Miss Kauai Teen USA 2017 pageants,” Kano said.
The pageant will be held Aug. 6 at the historic Waimea Theater. Officials will crown Kauai’s representatives to the Miss Hawaii USA and Miss Hawaii Teen USA state pageant being held in November.
July 8 is the deadline for contestants to register.
During the pageant, contestants will compete in three phases, including interview, swimsuit, and evening gown.
