Albert G. Moe
Albert G. Moe, formerly of Kalaheo passed away at the age of 82 at the State Veterans Home in Hilo on June 6, 2016, following a long illness.
Born in Shanghai, China, Al graduated from Andover Academy and UC Berkley and then embarked on a 29 year career in the U.S Navy. He retired with the rank of Commander in 1980 and then pursued a career in consulting.
Al is preceded in death by his first wife, Charleen Moe and parents, Albert and Margaret Moe. He is survived by his wife, Edie Moe of Omao; son, Albert W. Moe of Pahoa; daughter, Cathryn Moe of Virginia, and sister, Barbara Moe of Seattle; as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, where both of his parents are interred.
A memorial service will be held at Koloa Union Church on Saturday, June 25 at 11 a.m. Aloha attire is suggested. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Koloa Union Church or the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Al’s memory, both entities to which he was extremely devoted.
Catalina ‘Lina’ Melchor Lahep Agcaoili
Catalina “Lina” Melchor Lahep Agcaoili passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at the age of 91.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1924, in Claveria, Philippines. Lina was a retired seamstress and owner of Lina’s Boutique in Lihue.
Preceded in death by first husband, Paulo C. Raralio; son, Robert Bernard Raralio; father, Mariano Balanay Lahep; mother, Eulalia Bartolome Domingues; step-father, Dionicio Domingues; and sisters, Mercy Honorato and Irene Carter.
Lina is survived by her husband, Leandro Agcaoili; Raralio children, Rudy (Nel) Raralio, Florita (Sonny) Querubin, Barbara (Harry) Nagamine, Aileen Raralio, Richard (Patti) Raralio; Agcaoili children, Donie (Faye) Agcaoili, and Melda (Demi) Agpaoa; hanai daughter, Patti Robinson; grandchildren, Melissa (Alan) Snyder, Christopher (Shara) Querubin, Dawn (Wesley) Taba, Michele (Roy) Sato, Paul (Sandy) Raralio, Michael (Sherry) Querubin, Kelli (Eric) Barsness, CK Agcaoili, Paul Nigel Agcaoili; great-grandchildren, Jesse Raralio Cardenas, Serenity Bolo-Padello, Kaytin Taba, Cyler Siu-Padello, Caleb Taba, Kaiya Barsness, Sienna Snyder, Keelan Barsness, Cahlie Querubin; sisters, Pauline Gonzales, Sally Cabalo, Fely (Faustino) Cabotaje, Maggie Mission; Brother, Floyd Lahep; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Lina’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, 10 a.m. visitation, 11 a.m. service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Lihue Ward. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
The family requests casual attire.

Helen Silva Obrero
Helen Silva Obrero of Puhi passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 15, 2016, at the age of 79. She was born in Hawaii on Feb. 4, 1937, and was a dedicated homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Alvaro Obrero; parents, Alfred and Trinda Silva; sister, Lauretta; brother, Thomas Silva.
Helen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Aloha Church with viewing from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Lester Tokio Yoshimura
Lester Tokio Yoshimura, a retired veteran of Lihue, Hawaii, was born on May 1, 1921, and passed away on May 22, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sadako K. Yoshimura; and survived by his son, Michael (Joyce) Yoshimura of San Luis Obispo, California; daughter, Cynthia (Tom) Matsuoka of Lihue, Hawaii; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Lihue Hongwanji Mission.

Beatrice Ancheta of Kealia, Kauai, passed away on June 4, 2016. She was 95 years old.
Born on Jan. 31, 1921, in Lihue, Kauai, she was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by parents, Melchor and Balasa Alisna; husband, Felomeno Ancheta; daughter, Connie Olarti; daughter in-law, Cindy Ancheta; sisters, Nieves Quiming, Theodora Banquel, Paulina Suan; brothers, Alejandro Alesna, William Emproso and Manuel Emproso.
Survived by sons, Fred Ancheta, Wailua, Ernest (Linda) Ancheta, Kapahi, Eddie (Amber) Ancheta, Kealia, Melvin (Ruth) Ancheta Mililani; brother, Domingo (Lourdes) Alisna, Hanamaulu; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
Celebration of Life on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Saint Catherine’s, Catholic Church, Kapaa, Visitation at 9 a.m., Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Saint Catherine’s Cemetery.

Anthony “Bruddah” Arden Wong of Las Vegas, born on Feb. 25, 1951, in Waimea, Kauai, passed away on May 18, 2016, at the age of 65.
He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio “Tony” Wong; mother, Marjorie Kua Wong; sisters, Evelyn “Suku” Baniaga and Marjorie Wong; and brother, Darrell Wong.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette Kanoa of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Anelle (Burt Rapanot Jr.) Brun of Kaumakani; son, Arden (Dianne Coley) Wong of Santa Rose Beach, Florida; sisters, Antoinette (Lawrence) Daos of Pearl City, Charmaine (George Perreira Jr.) Manuel of Waimea, Walnita (Fred Sr.) Aviguetero of Waimea, and Jacqualene Wong of Sacramento, California; brothers, Byron (Joveen) Wong of Waimea and Chadwick (Betsy Moonihoawa) Wong of Hanamaulu; brother-in-law, Patrick Baniaga of Kaumakani; grandsons, Dalton (Cassandra Owen) Brun of Kekaha and Dallas Brun of Kekaha; granddaughter Qiyrah Rapanot of Kaumakani; great-granddaughters, Tiah and Teily Brun of Kekaha; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, and uncles.

Joseph C. G. Lum
Joseph C. G. Lum of Kapaa passed away in Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on May 12, 2016, at the age of 78.
He was born in Kapaa, Kauai, on Jan. 24, 1938, and worked for Kauai Surf in Housekeeping.
Joseph is survived by two brothers, Benjamin Lum (Mona), Raymond Lum (Jesse); three sisters, Christina Ikeda, Lydia Au, Ada Conching, Elizabeth Takahashi (George); hanai family, Evangeline Kaleiohi and Family; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family requests no monetary donation but graciously accepts flowers.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m.
