Congratulations to Joanna Martin, Anaiah Christensen, Tiffany Ishibashi and Aubrey Kay on receiving the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital Auxiliary scholarships that were presented by Charlene Dorsey (she was busy with Gen. Mary Kay Hertog at the Disabled American Veterans and DAV Auxiliary convention last week!). Mahalo to Pat Pablo for the take-out (should have shared some with Monique Joy Lorenzo at the summer league basketball game), and Joanna Martin was getting ready to join the Mahelona Hospital beach outing at Lydgate Park.
And more kudos to Riley Saiki (Elaine and Steven Saiki of the EK Lions are his grandparents), Laura Koga and Macy Tamura on earning the EK Lions Scholarships.
Ed (Rob) Robinson is the new incoming president for the EK Lions who shared its “year-ender” with a nice dinner (Kelvin Moniz and John Uyeno said the spare ribs were really good!) and everyone had a good time celebrating the scholars and the club’s many achievements in the year.
