Congratulations to Annette Lefheriotis on winning the grand prize (Denise Roberts and the girls are already making plans!) of the night’s stay at an ocean-front room at the Hilton Garden Inn during the Kauai Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours (kudos to Carol Manera Texeira and Anna Baudouin on pulling it off even if Chris Gampon and Mark Perriello are in Washington, D.C. for Hawaii on the Hill).
More kudos to Shirley Tani of Mokihana Insurance on getting the backpack cooler, and Carol Simon of the Courtyard by Marriott at Coconut Beach was one of the breakfast buffet winners as was Casey Reimer of Jack Harter Helicopters (he’s got some great photos on his smartphone!).
Hilton Chef Nick Gotelaere (ever see a Pronto Pup Shrimp?) got his nametag only 30 minutes before they opened the doors, and the trio of Jerry Bindel, filling in for Ray Blouin from Lake Tahoe, Sadie Riggan, and Mariko Harper were great hosts!
Jaye Youn, chair of the Chamber’s Special Events Committee, got help from Barbara Gusman (they were going crazy with Chef Lucas Sautter, John Hines, and Nick Briner at the Taste of Hawaii!), and Sharon Lasker of the Regency at Puakea said they’re doing a silent auction and big rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday as a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association.
