Gregoria “Gladys” Delapina Leyson, 86, of Hilo, died April 28, 2016, at her home. She was born in Kalaheo, Kauai, and was a homemaker and caregiver for the elderly for the State of Hawaii.
She is survived by children, Riley (Iris) Leyson, La Fawn (Wayne) Mayeda, and Kelly Leyson of Hilo, Gregory (Cheryl) Leyson of Mililani, Oahu, Kei Leyson of Indiana; sisters, Concepcion “Connie” (Richard) Vidinha and Maximina “Maxie” Sahut of Kauai, Catherine Elaine Rego of Pearl City, Oahu; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo. Visitation begins at noon with service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial follows at 3 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park Ilima Section.
Casual attire is requested and no flowers please.
