Registration, safety briefings and warm up exercises take place from 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the Historic County Building, and the trump-trump of taiko from the Joyful Noise at 7 a.m. signals the start of the 2.9-mile walk around Lihue.
George Thronas and organizers of the largest fundraising effort gathered at the Kukui Grove Center for a final push for registrants to the entertainment of the Joyful Noise ensemble and the Excel Dance Studio. Proceeds go toward the $250,000 goal.
