Lloyd Chester Chong
Lloyd Chester Chong of Honolulu passed away at the age of 67, on March 8, 2016, in Sacramento, California. He was born on Oct. 24, 1948, in Waimea, Kauai. He was an honorable veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Chong; mother, Margaret Woo Duncan; and sister, Iris Hernandez.
Lloyd is survived by his brothers, Walter Chong and Gary Chong of California; sisters, Sandra Kaui of Kauai and Debra Soto of Honolulu; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Hanapepe Veteran’s Pavilion; services will begin at 9 a.m.
Arrangements were handled by Sierra Foothills in Sacramento, California.
Lucia ‘Lucy’ Santiago
Lucia “Lucy” Santiago of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Omao, Kauai, passed away on April 17, 2016, at the age of 83.
Born on June 20, 1932, in Kauai, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Santiago Sr., and son, Gabriel Santiago Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Stella (Raymond) Da Costa, El Paso, Texas, and Frances Allen, Puyallup, Washington; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Visitation at 9:30 a.m.; service at 10 a.m.
Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe, Koloa, Kauai.
Gloria R. Knapp
Gloria R. Knapp from Hanapepe was born on April 26, 1943, in the Philippines, and passed away on March 23, 2016, in Waimea.
She is survived by her husband, Helmut Knapp; sons, James Knapp of Hanapepe, and Daniel Knapp of Kekaha; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Private services were held.
