Lloyd Chester Chong
Lloyd Chester Chong of Honolulu passed away at the age of 67 on March 8, 2016 in Sacramento California. He was born on Oct. 24, 1948 in Waimea Kauai. He was an Honorable Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Joseph Chong, Mother, Margaret Woo Duncan and Sister Iris Hernandez.
Lloyd is survived by his brothers Walter Chong and Gary Chong of California, sisters Sandra Kaui of Kauai and Debra Soto of Honolulu, & numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Hanapepe Veteran’s Pavilion; services will begin at 9 a.m.
Arrangements were handled by Sierra Foothills in Sacramento, California.
Raymond K. Itamura
Raymond K. Itamura of Kalaheo passed away at the age of 82 on April 9, 2016 at Garden Isle Health Care. Born on Nov. 22, 1932 in Lihue, Kauai.
He served in the US Army and was a retired concrete plant supervisor for Hale Kauai, Ltd. before starting his own construction company.
He is preceded in death by his parents James Itamura and Leilani Halemanu Itamura; brother, Kenneth Itamura; sister, Leilani Kalaukahi; Uncles, Joseph Halemanu, Herman Halemanu, and Moses “Moke” Halemanu; Aunty Grace “Pua” Hanohano; Hanai Sister Lydia “Lily” Halemanu Estacio; Niece Lily Halemanu Fernandez; and Great Grandchild Kayla Itamura.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Marie “Gladys” Itamura; son Glenn (Barbara) Itamura of Hanamaulu; daughters, Karen Ono Itamura of Puhi, Cheryl (Lisa Ka’aihue) Itamura of Kalaheo; and Raynette (Wayne) Taniguchi of Kalaheo; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Garden Island Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. with the Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. and burial to follow.
Casual attire is preferred and flowers are welcomed.
