Mrs. Kauai, Amanda Smith, and her family, including husband Jeremy, daughter Nevaeh, and son Jett were among the celebrities taking a ride aboard Paulo during the Grove Farm Museum Train Day at the Haleko Road site.
Scott Johnson was getting excited about celebrating Paul Isenberg’s birthday with the free laser light rides Friday which is the traditional Tax Day (it’s Monday because of the Emancipation Day holiday in Washington, D.C.), and Sam Maehata (he was making “train food” using a chainsaw) is getting ready to move to the Mainland.
Congratulations to Chef Mark Oyama and his Kauai Community College ohana on hosting a great Spring Gourmet Gala featuring guest chefs Alan Wong and Vikram Garg. Chef Mark said he’s been doing this sold-out event for the past 14 years.
Kristen Yanagawa of Tapas looked like how she did when she was a Kauai Community College culinary arts student, and Chef Eliza Vicoy of the Hukilau Lanai is still bent on taking care of hungry people. Kudos to these culinary arts students on making it.
