Elsie Jean Callejo
Elsie Jean Callejo, born on March 4, 1969, passed away on March 12, 2016.
She is survived by her parents, Benjamin Frank Callejo, Sr. and Juanita Carmen Callejo; sisters, Patricia (Walter) Shaffer, Traci Callejo Planas, Robbyn (Manuel) Silva, and Jennifer Callejo; brothers, Michael (Clarice) Callejo), Benjamin Frank Callejo Jr., Alan Callejo, Manuel (Imelda) Callejo and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and the Waimea High School’s Class of 1987.
Celebration of Elsie’s life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Eleele Sacred Hearts Church with visitation at 8:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at Kaua’i Memorial Cemetery will be followed.
The family suggests aloha attire and flowers are welcomed.

Donato P. Parinas
Donato P. Parinas of Kekaha, passed away at the age of 78, on March 12, 2016, at home. Born on Sept. 7, 1937, in Langiden Abra, Philippines, he was a surveyor for Kekaha Sugar Plantation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fernando and Antonia Parinas; nephew, John Eric Parinas and sister-in-law, Cathy Parinas.
Donato is survived by his wife, Marcelina Parinas of Kekaha; daughters, Evelyn (Shawn) Yadao of Hanapepe and Vangie (Mark Rapozo) Parinas of Kalaheo; grandchildren, Shawn Yadao Jr., Shawntel (Garrette Duarte) Yadao, Dylan Pimental and Kristy Pimental; great-grandchildren, Tytus Pimental, and Gage Duarte; brothers, Puleriano (Conchita) Parinas of California, and Nestor (Avelina) Parinas of Eleele; sister, Rosalina Perona of Chicago and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha. Visitation will begin at 8:30 with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Edward Calija
Edward Calija of Kaumakani passed away on March 5, 2016. He was born on Oct. 13, 1968, in the Philippines, he was a housekeeper with Waiohai, Diamond Resort and Pacific Facility Services.
He is survived by his wife, Clair Acob Calija; two sons, Christian Ferdz Acob Calija and Ron Janvis Acob Calija; daughter, Amerfil Grace Acob Calija; mother, Carmen Calija; brothers, Elmer Caliva of California and Reynaldo Caliva of Cebu City, Philippines; along with numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai with wake services to begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016.

Yachiyo Zenigami Wataya
Yachiyo Zenigami Wataya of Kapaa, born on Dec. 24, 1923, in Kilauea, passed away at home on March 17, 2016, at the age of 92.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tsukasa “Duke” Wataya.
Yachiyo is survived by her son, Warren M. (Christine) Wataya; daughters, Doreen T. Wataya and Arlene S. (Kurt) Bosshard, all of Kapaa; four grandchildren; great-grandchild; brothers, Masamu Zenigami and Takashi Zenigami of Pearl City; sister-in-law, Floris Wataya and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Kapaa. Visitation begins at 2 with services to follow at 3 p.m.
The family requests casual attire. Flowers and monetary offerings are kindly declined.

Yuriko Yukimura Nanbu
Yuriko Yukimura Nanbu of Lihue passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2016. Born in Lihue on March 26, 1927, she was a retired office clerk with Koa Trading, and a longtime volunteer with Wilcox Hospital Long Term Care.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sunao Nanbu; parents, Umajiro and Matsu Yukimura; sisters, Hisayo Akama and Chiyoko Kato.
She is survived by son, Dan Nanbu of Lihue; granddaughter, Daralynne (Micah) Reichman of Kapolei; grandson, Dayson Nanbu of Lihue and great-granddaughter, Arianna Reichman of Kapolei; sisters, Mitsue Kataoka of Kapaa and Kimie Ozaki of Honolulu; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Lihue Christian Church with visitation from 10 followed by services at 11 a.m.
The family kindly asks that flowers be omitted.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Nanbu family with arrangements.
Severino ‘Toring’ Udaundo Baysa
Severino “Toring” Udaundo Baysa of Hanamaulu passed away at home on Feb. 27, 2016, at the age of 67. He was born in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on July 16, 1948, and was employed as a houseman with Kauai Marriott Hotel.
Preceded in death by his parents, Julio and Segunda Baysa and brother, Antonio Baysa.
Severino is survived by his wife, Estrella Baysa (Salud) of Hanamaulu; two daughters, Sherry Baysa of Hanamaulu, Sheila Baysa of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Lorenzo (Edelita) Salud; cousin, Juana (Eddie) Ancheta of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Severino’s life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Baysa family with arrangements.
