Chef Rafael Camarillo has been busy prepping for the Kauai Veterans Museum fundraiser, tonight said Aida Cruz of the Kauai Veterans Center.
Aida was also busy because she was with the Catholic Charities Tuesday when the Kauai Chapter of the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association launched its 2016 Visitor Industry Charity Walk campaign at the Courtyard by Marriott at Coconut Beach (Barbara Gusman was all excited because she said this is the first time the property has hosted the launch, and even Jaye Youn came out to check out everyone arriving for the event).
Glen Takenouchi and Lawton Sugihara of Hawaii Gas were at the event, taking a break from getting ready for the Contractors Association of Kauai and First Hawaiian Bank (yep, Joyce Vidinha was there, too) annual home expo coming up next week Friday at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
Glen and Lawton were sharing their table with Paul Ito and Kellie Pleas of Hokuala, and Shannon Maxwell of Enterprise Rent A Car said they’re looking at ending in the Top 10 for fundraising.
OK, back to Kauai Interscholastic Federation sports — they’re everywhere this weekend!
