LIHUE — The Kauai Filipino Community Council is seeking candidates for its Miss Kauai Filipina scholarship pageant on July 2 at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
Charlmaine Bulosan, president of the KFCC, said girls between the ages of 17 to 27 years old are eligible for the pageant which offers scholarships and gifts.
Applications are available at www.misskauaifilipina.com or by contacting Bulosan at 652-3667.
Deadline to submit applications is April 13. There will also be a meeting for interested candidates at 6 p.m. Monday in the offices of The Specific Chiropractic Center in Lihue.
Marielle Yano is the reigning Miss Kauai Filipina.
Contestants in the pageant compete in three major phases including swimsuit, talent, and Terno, or the Filipino formal gown.
