Kudos to Waimea High School seniors Maia Young and Leah Carr who spearheaded the Kalo Awareness event as their Senior Project with the help of their paddling coach Kaina Makua, the Senior Project Mentor.
Kudos, too, to Peter Klune who opened The Clinic at Poipu last week…wait to see all the goodies when they announce the Grand Opening and Open House. Dr. John Gilmore was at the Kuhio Day protocol hosted by the Royal Order of Kamehameha I, Chapter 3 “Kaumuali‘i” and said he got chicken skin when they talked about the 16 acres.
Melissa McFerrin-Warrack was busy after the long weekend and getting ready for Art Walk which she said is going to be “Nart Walk” on April 9 when they get visited by the KUGA performers and a special guest of Aaron Feinberg. This one starts at 5 p.m. at The Shops at Kukuiula. In the daytime, check out the Contractors Association of Kauai annual building expo with First Hawaiian Bank (what kind of games is Diane Rapozo going to come up with?).
This is a week before the big Garden Fair (are you ready, Laurie Ho?) at the Kauai Community College.
