KAPAA —A man was arrested for terroristic threatening on Monday after an altercation near Aliali Road.
Alexander Dora was taken into custody after Kauai police officers said he and another man were involved in a confrontation involving a gun.
Although it is believed a single shot was fired during the incident, no one was hit or injured, said county spokeswoman Sarah Blane.
Police responded to reports of a dispute of a possible shot fired at a home on Apopo Road, near Aliali Road, around 2 p.m.
Dora, who was later identified as the male occupant of the home, had visible lacerations and was treated at the scene by medics, Blane said.
He was arrested for terroristic threatening in the first degree, endangering in the first degree and assault in the third degree. As a precaution, police closed the road during the investigation.
The blocked portion of the roadway was reopened about 6:30 p.m.
An investigation continues.
