Kauai Hospice earns TGI reader support

Dennis Francis, Oahu Publications Inc. president and TGI publisher and Dave Kennedy, OPI chief revenue officer present a $10,000 check to Kauai Hospice on Thursday. The award is the result of The Garden Island newspaper’s Subscriber Donation Program that raised the money for its 2015 beneficiary, Kauai Hospice. Under the program, readers have the option to donate to the selected charity when they pay for their subscriptions. This is the first year for the SDP program on Kauai following a model launch by The Honolulu Star-Advertiser on Oahu in 2011.
