Wendall ‘Jumbo’ Kalaniana’ole Kwai Chun Fu
Wendall “Jumbo” Kalaniana’ole Kwai Chun Fu died at home surrounded by his family on Jan. 25, 2016, at the age of 63. He was born in Lihu’e to Clara Lihau (Enrique) Fu and Edwin “Ah Meng” Fu. Wendall worked as a Na Pali tour operator, fisherman, construction worker and at Hanalei Club Med, Hanalei Bay Resort and Princeville Resort. He was a founding member of Hanalei Canoe Club, an avid waterman and loved playing music with his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Charleen “Shasha” Kinney and brother-in-laws: Kevin McDermott and Thomas “Peewee” Giltner.
Wendall is survived by his wife Joanna Fu; son, Tyrone (Esmeralda) Fu; Daughter, Jessica Kaui (Lionel) Fu; son, Nicholas Kaimana (Ashley) Fu; 3 grandchildren, Mary, Lyla and Ridge; siblings, brother, Edwin (Aleta) Fu Jr., sisters, Edleen Kaui, Claradeen Fu McDermott, Helena Giltner, Marleen (Greg) Fu; brother-in-law, William “Blue” Kinney; numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Please join us for a celebration of life to be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at Waipa, Hanalei with visitation from 9:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Lunch and music to follow.

Jaime Caluntad Tolbe
Jaime Caluntad Tolbe of Kaumakani passed away at Kaua’i Veteran’s Memorial Hospital at the age 88 on Jan. 31, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Figueira; parents, Pedro Tolbe and Clara Cabana; and brother, Jose Tolbe Sr.
Jaime is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Howard (Anna Marie) Tolbe of Ele’ele, Brandon Tolbe of Gloucester Massachusetts, and Preston Tolbe of Kaumakani; daughters, Clara (Gary) Mackler of Lawai, and Colleen (Jovan) Bautista of Hanapepe; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Jaime will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at the Hanapepe Veteran’s Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 10 a.m. with Military Honors.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

James Daniel ‘Stone’ Napohaku
James Daniel “Stone” Napohaku of Hanapepe, passed away on Jan. 22, 2016 at Kaua’i Veteran’s Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. Born on Dec. 15, 1940 on Kaua’i in Hanapepe, he was a retired Boiler Maker from Port Allen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Lei Napohaku and Cecilia Moke; and grandson, Kainalu Pegeder-Napohaku
James is survived by his caretaker, Cecelia P Aki (Christopher Kali) of Hanapepe, his daughters: Cecelia Hoffman (Sheldon) of Kalaheo, Anela Ogawa (Christian) of Lihue, GirleyAnn Napohaku (Troy Yamamoto) of Hanapepe, and his one and only son, Noah Napohaku of Hanapepe. Eleven grandchildren, six great-granchildren; two sisters: Louisa Adolfo of Lihue, Kauai and Juliette Asato of Pearl City, Oahu; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 9 a.m.on Sat., February 27, 2016 at the Han-apepe Hawaiian Congressional Church. Burial is set following services at the Hanapepe Hawaiian cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcomed.

Diana Alice Lokalia O’Riley of Anahola, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on Feb. 9, 2016 at the age of 77.
Born on Feb. 25, 1938 in Kealia, Kauai she was a retired real estate broker.
Preceded in death by parents: Charles and Katherine Lovell; sisters: Kaui Song, Katherine Rivera, Jenny Pereira; brother: Christian Lovell
Survived by daughter: Diane (Charlie) Azevedo Kaneohe, Oahu; brother: Sonny (Irene) Lovell, Anahola; Kauai sisters: Priscilla (Mike) Magallenes, Oxnard, California, Alvina Mills, Anahola, Kauai: numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
