Molly Uyeki’s middle name is Ann, and for a while, everyone thought she was Anna Badoun’s sister. That is, until Anna from the Kauai Chamber of Commerce showed up with Carol Manera Texeira after picking up lei and other goodies for the “Hawaii on the Hill” luncheon at the Kauai Kookie Kitchen in Kalaheo.
Kudos to Mabel Hashisaka and her entire ohana (Molly is part of that ohana and said she was making cookies in Hanapepe on Tuesday) on a great job hosting the event where Senator Mazie Hirono showed up to address the group.
Puni Patrick (Waimea Town Celebration this weekend) and her friend could even have lunch while watching over the excitement, and Mark Perriello was excited because he could relate to Washington, D.C. where Hawaii on the Hill takes place.
Is Kaleo Carvalho still recovering from the Great Aloha Run? Cyndi Ayonon and George Costa were accompanying Mayor Bernard Carvalho, Jr. who will be joined by another big man, Sam Choy, during this year’s “Hawaii on the Hill”.
OK, time to go check out the haps at the Waimea Town Celebration.
