Gerald Toshiaki Nishimori
Gerald Toshiaki Nishimori of Kalaheo, Kauai, passed away on Jan. 8, 2016, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1935, in Waimea, Kauai, and worked at Foodland, Big Save and later retired from Safeway. Gerald served in the Korean War as an Army sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred Nishimori.
He is survived by his daughter, Jerilyn (Kendrick) Chang; son, Elwin Nishimori; sister, Agnes Emiko Ward; and six grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at St. Philomena Church, 3300 Ala Laulani St., Honolulu, for visitation at 9:30 a.m., and prayer service to follow.
No flowers. Casual attire.

Winifred Villamor Torricer Nishimori
Winifred Villamor Torricer Nishimori of Kalaheo, Kauai, passed away on April 10, 2012, at the age of 67. She was employed at the U.S. Post Office for 40 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Jerilyn (Kendrick) Chang; son, Elwin Nishimori; sisters, Gail (Richard) Lorenzo, Margarette Mishina; brothers, Elpidio (Mae) Torricer, Gregory Torricer, Julian Torricer; and six grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 3300 Ala Laulani St., Honolulu, for visitation at 9:30 a.m. and prayer service to follow.

Wendall ‘Jumbo’ Kalaniana’ole Kwai Chun Fu
Wendall “Jumbo” Kalaniana’ole Kwai Chun Fu died at home surrounded by his family on Jan. 25, 2016, at the age of 63. He was born in Lihue to Clara Lihau (Enrique) Fu and Edwin “Ah Meng” Fu.
Wendall worked as a Na Pali tour operator, fisherman, construction worker and at Hanalei Club Med, Hanalei Bay Resort and Princeville Resort. He was a founding member of Hanalei Canoe Club, an avid waterman and loved playing music with his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Charleen “Shasha” Kinney, and brother-in-laws, Kevin McDermott and Thomas “Peewee” Giltner.
Wendall is survived by his wife, Joanna Fu; son, Tyrone (Esmeralda) Fu; daughter, Jessica Kaui (Lionel) Fu; son, Nicholas Kaimana (Ashley) Fu; three grandchildren, Mary, Lyla and Ridge; brother, Edwin (Aleta) Fu Jr.; sisters, Edleen Kaui, Claradeen Fu McDermott, Helena Giltner, Marleen (Greg) Fu; brother-in-law, William “Blue” Kinney; numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Please join us for a celebration of life to be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Waipa, Hanalei, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Lunch and music to follow.

Steven M. Uyehara
Steven M. Uyehara, 83, passed away on Jan. 26, 2016, at his home in Kalaheo, Hawaii.
Steve was born in Kahului, Maui, on March 18, 1932. He graduated from Baldwin High School, served in the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division Signal Corps Photo Section in the Korean War, graduated from Northrop Institute of Technology with an Aeronautical Engineering degree, and retired from the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Missile Range Facility Barking Sands as Aerial Targets Manager. Steve enjoyed his work and work colleagues and retired only a few years prior to his passing. He also loved to spend time with his friends and family.
Steve is survived by wife, Gladys; children, Scot, Pamela and Kimberly Uyehara; brother, Alan Uyehara and wife, Sylvia and sister, Jane Yoshimura and husband, Lester and their children and grandchildren and hanai family, Richard, Kathie and granddaughter, Jackie Taylor.

Robert ‘Robbie’ Edward Lemmon Kaholokula
Robert “Robbie” Edward Lemmon Kaholokula of Kapaa passed in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 9, 2016, at the age of 55. He was born in Lihue, Kauai, on May 25, 1960, and was an entertainer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Harriet Kaholokula.
Robbie is survived by his wife, Perle “Puamohala” Kaholokula; sons, Baron Kaholokula of Oahu; daughter, Lei Ui (Kaha’i) Choy of Oahu; brothers; Kimo (Ipo) Kaholokula of Wailua, Jimmy (Heika) Fujita of Kalaheo, Jordan (Shirley) Kahananui of Kilauea; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m.

Aka “Joe” passed away on Dec. 14, 2015, at the age of 85. He was born in Puhi, Kauai, and passed away in Mesa, Arizona.
A graveside vigil will be held for family at Kekaha Cemetery on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at 10:30 a.m.
Jaime Caluntad Tolbe
Jaime Caluntad Tolbe of Kaumakani passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital at the age 88 on Jan. 31, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Figueira; parents, Pedro Tolbe and Clara Cabana; and brother, Jose Tolbe Sr.
Jaime is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Howard (Anna Marie) Tolbe of Ele’ele, Brandon Tolbe of Gloucester, Massachusetts, and Preston Tolbe of Kaumakani; daughters, Clara (Gary) Mackler of Lawai, and Colleen (Jovan) Bautista of Hanapepe; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life for Jaime will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at the Hanapepe Veteran’s Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 10 a.m. with Military Honors.

Rufino Taroma of Kekaha, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on Feb. 3, 2016, at the age of 93.
Born on March 30, 1922, in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was an irrigator for Kekaha Sugar Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Flaviano and Simplicia Taroma; wife, Cayetana Gasidan Taroma; and son, Rustom Taroma.
He is survived by: sons, Orlando (Connie) Taroma, Roger (Fely) Taroma; daughters, Teresita, (Amor) Balisacan, Nenita (Godofredo) Alegre Jr., Elena (Roberto) Dadufalza, Elisa (Efren) Pascua, Nora (Eugene) Baptista, Ophelia (Ray) Martin, Grace (Villamora) Ganiron; brother, Constancio Taroma; sister, Julia Taroma; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Henry Abreu of Kalaheo passed away at Straub Hospital on Oahu on Jan. 24, 2016, at the age of 83.
Born on July 15, 1932, in Makaweli, he was a retired construction laborer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leatrice Joy Abreu; brothers, William Abreu, James Abreu and Eddie Abreu; and sister, Beatrice Capoci.
Henry is survived by daughters, Helen Abreu of Kalaheo, Karen Hudson of Oahu, Joycelyn (Evan) Vasconcelles of Lawai and Rose Canales of Lawai; grandchildren, Alana (Darren) Agustin, Waylon Brun, Victoria Hudson, Alexis Hudson, Kira Abreu and Sarah Canales; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Dakota Agustin; brother, Nelson (Tina) Abreu; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Feb. 27, 2016, at St Rapheal’s Catholic Church in Koloa. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with Mass to follow.
