LIHUE — Island Air announced that for the month of January, it completed 100 percent of its 716 scheduled flights with no cancellations, and 93.8 percent of its flights arrived on time.
“Despite the fact that we had several aircraft undergoing routine scheduled maintenance, our outstanding team at Island Air set an all-time company record in January with zero cancellations, and our on-time performance was the second highest it has ever been,” said Island Air CEO Dave Pflieger. “Over the past year, every member of the Island Air team has been focused on improving our operational performance in order to provide the best possible experience for our customers.”
Pfieger said Island Air’s results in January are a testament to its employees who are working hard to get the airline ready to resume service to Lihue starting March 15.
Island Air began announcing its operational performance in September.
The airline plans to continue releasing flight performance data on a monthly and quarterly basis.
