Frances Kahikilani W. Ohai
Frances Kahikilani W. Ohai returned home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at the age of 97. She was born on February 21, 1918 to Harry Lester White Sr. and Annie K. Kane.
She worked as a World War II Telecommunications operator, a butcher at a fish & meat market, a salesperson, a farmer, a restaurant co-owner, a librarian at Coco Palms Hotel, and a Hawaiian Studies Kupuna with the Department of Education.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Ohai; parents Harry Lester White Sr. & Annie K. Kane; siblings: Emogene Kalanui; Mary Baysa; James Keao; Annie Keao; Eleanor Battad; Harry Lester White II; Pearl Kaopio; George White; Blossom Kauanui; and Vernon White.
She is survived by numerous hanai children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Frances will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder -Day Saints in Kapa’a. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Services will commence at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at the Kapa’a Public Cemetery.
Casual attire suggested.

Sheila Pi’ilani Freitas
Sheila Pi’ilani Freeitas (Poko) of Hanapepe Valley, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 8, 2016 at the age of 48. Born on July 26, 1967 in Lihue, Hawai’i, she was a home caregiver with Endless Love Care.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Damien Freitas Jr.; is survived by her father, Damien Freitas Sr. and mother, Rebecca Kali; brother, Delbert (Vanessa Romo) Freitas of Kekaha; sisters, Diann (Keith) Delima Sr. of Ele’ele and Nicol (Dean) Nonaka of Hanapepe; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at the Sacred Hearts Church in Ele’ele on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at the Hanapepe Hawaiian Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Richey Kobayashi
Richey Kobayashi, born on July 31, 1958 in Lihue, Kaua’i, passed away on December 25, 2015 at his home in Hayward, California at the age of 57. He was a Technical Support Specialist.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Masuo and Hazel Kobayashi.
Richey is survived by his brother, Marc Kobayashi of Maui and hanai brother, Ronald Brown of Maui; sister, Lianne Kobayashi of Kaua’i; Aunts, Irene (Bernard) Apana of Kaua’i, June (Bobby) Kobayashi of California, and Annie Christian of Nevada; Uncle Jerome (Alice) Fujimori of O’ahu; and numerous cousins.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 6, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kapa’a Ward.
