A High Surf Warning is in effect for all north and west facing shores of Kauai.
Lifeguards are reporting wave heights of 20-30 feet on the North Shore and 15-25 feet on the Westside.
Ocean Safety officials are advising no swimming at all North Shore beaches, including Anini Beach, and at the extreme west-facing beaches, such as Polihale and Kekaha Beach.
Beachgoers are instead urged to visit lifeguarded beaches at Lydgate, Poipu and Salt Pond.
The public is urged to heed all posted warnings and check with lifeguards before entering the water today.
