KAPAA — Tropicbird Entertainment’s third Kauai Date Mate speed-dating event will be held Feb. 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lemongrass Grill Seafood and Bar in Kapaa.
“Kauai Date Mate is the perfect way for singles age 40-plus to meet each other — just in time for Valentine’s Day,” said Nadya Wynd, a director of Kauai-based Tropicbird Entertainment, which is sponsoring the event as a fundraiser for the upcoming original musical, “Nobody’s Boy.”
During the three-hour event, singles will get a 5-minute “date” with every participant, a drink, upgraded pupu choices and lots of fun.
“Kauai Date Mate provides a safe, comfortable and congenial environment to meet quality people on Kauai, who are also very interested in meeting someone and motivated enough to show up in person,” said Wynd. “Our no-pressure, guided process helps singles relax and have a fun evening meeting lots of new people and expanding their social connections.”
Participants are invited to stay for the free-style mixer afterward, which gives them another opportunity to get to know each other better.
