Gerald Dale Simkins of Koloa passed away in his home on Thursday, January 14, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.
Gerald was born on August 25, 1929 in Marshalltown, Iowa and spent his life growing up in Wil-low Springs, Missouri.
He was a well known builder and developer for many years in Springfield, Missouri as owner of Simkins Building Company.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Simkins of Koloa, Hawai’i; his children, Ronald Simkins and wife, Tammy of Omaha, Nebraska, Lori Smith and husband, Clayton of Kansas City, Kansas, Kimberly Ritton and husband, John of Auburn, Nebraska; and several grandchil-dren.
He is also survived by his brother, Ken Simkins; and sister, Marjorie Jurman of Springfield, Mis-souri.
In leu of flowers, Gerald’s wish was for donations to be made to Son Life Broadcasting Network to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.
