Maria P. Ganal, 70 of Eleele, Hawaii passed away on Dec. 28, 2015, in Honolulu. She worked for the Grand Hyatt Kauai and was born in Illocos Norte, Philipines. Maria is survived by her daughter, Joanna M. Ganal; sisters, Perpetua Balisacan, Germana Balisacan, Felipa Ganotisi and one grandchild.
The funeral service for Maria P. Ganal will be held on Jan. 23, 2016, at Borthwick Mortuary-Maunakea Chapel, located at 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, HI 96817. Visitation to begin at 9:30 a.m. and service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. Flowers welcome.
Dan Kost Denny
Dan Kost Denny of Kapaa, Hawaii passed away at Wilcox Hospital on Jan. 11, 2016, at the age of 67. Born on July 7, 1948, in Springfield, Illinois, he was a property manager with Young Rentals.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia Denny and survived by his best friend, Frances Forde; son, John (Casey) Fitzgerald of Fountain Hills, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren; brothers, Mark, Sean and Luke of Springfield, Illinois; sisters, Sara, Amy, Jill and Jane of Springfield, Illinois and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held on Jan. 20, 2016, at 4 p.m. by the Lii-Kapaa boat ramp, makai park side.
The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.
