New Year’s night was “just another night,” said Ed Justus of the Talk Story Bookstore.
Every Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m., the town bustles with fun and activity when the sun sets and the Hanapepe Friday Night Festival and Art Walk comes to life along the main road through historic Hanapepe Town.
Hosted by the Hanapepe Economic Alliance, the festive atmosphere opens doors to meeting the local artists and gallery owners under an umbrella of aromatic food and music from local musicians.
“We were open on Christmas, as well,” Justus said. “There were some vendors who took advantage of the holiday by not coming out, but for those who did, this was just another night.”
