LIHUE — Kauai Nursery and Landscaping and Hawaii Gas shared Member of the Year honors for the Contractors Association of Kauai in 2015.
The announcement, which was made during the recent CAK Annual Membership Meeting at the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club, earned the awardees the Tetsuro “Rosy” Maeda award for their outstanding service to CAK and the island of Kauai.
Honsador Lumber and Dustin Moises of the Department of Water shared honors as the Associate Members of the Year. Each were presented the Wayne E. Ellis Award for the accolade.
Service Rentals and Supplies was presented the Robert H. Rask Community Service award to round out the service contributors.
During the meeting, Bryan Davidson of Earthworks Pacific was installed as the CAK president. Other officers include Lawton Sugihara of Hawaii Gas, Preston Chong of First Hawaiian Bank, Trinette Kaui of A&B Properties, Jerry Nishek of Kauai Nursery and Landscaping, Lanell Miyamoto to Kalei’s Steelworks, Kaleo Smith of Aloha Equipment Rentals, Alica Leong of Kaiwa Construction, Fred Pascual of Kauai Island Utility Cooperative, and Detetrio Tolentino of Jas. W. Glover.
The Contractors Association of Kauai was established in 1957 to improve the construction industry through educational programs, services and public awareness efforts, such as the annual CAK Home Show held each year at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
