Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Times Supermarkets in Lihue serves generous portions of food at affordable prices.
Gwen Batara, Times Supermarkets Lihue store director, said the barbecue huli huli chicken and teriyaki steak plate combo on Mondays will fill you up.
“It comes with three sides, and we have seven different things to choose from, and it comes with a cup of soda or water,” Batara said.
The chicken and teriyaki steak combo is priced at $8.99.
Patrons may choose among seven side items: corn, potato wedges, mashed potatoes, rice, green salads, macaroni salad and steamed vegetables.
If you’re in the mood for barbecue chicken, the plate is priced at $6.99 and $3.99 for an a la carte portion.
The teriyaki plate is $8.99, while a teriyaki a la carte portion is $6.99.
On Wednesdays, Times Supermarkets serves baked chicken and spare ribs with a guava glaze. The combo plate costs $9.99, the baked chicken plate is priced at $6.99 and the spare ribs plate is $7.99.

Neva Jane Abes, Times Supermarket employee, said the store’s busiest plate lunch day is Friday.
“Everyone loves the steak,” she said,“ especially the offices because everyone orders plenty for their coworkers.”
Times serves grilled Sterling Silver steak plates priced at $12.49, while a combination steak and shrimp steak plate costs $12.99.
You may also order a shrimp plate for $9.99. As far as a la carte portions, the steak and shrimp are both priced at $7.49.
Plate lunches on Monday, Wendesday and Friday are available from 11 a.m. until supplies last.
