LIHUE — Kauai residents and visitors are encouraged to take a brief online survey regarding potential transit improvements for the North and South shores and the Eastside of the island.
The survey is part of the county’s transit study, which aims to test the feasibility of using shuttles in these areas in order to mitigate traffic congestion and improve accessibility. The shuttles would serve both residents and visitors.
To access the survey, please go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/kauaishuttlestudysurvey. The deadline is Jan. 10.
In line with Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.’s Holo Holo 2020 vision, this project supports the county’s overall efforts to enhance transit, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure on Kaua‘i.
The mayor’s vision calls for all organizations, businesses, residents and visitors on Kauai to be part of creating an island that is sustainable, values the native culture, has a thriving and healthy economy, cares for all and has a responsible and user-friendly local government.
