Leong Lim was bummed out with the construction on Haleko Road because the lines are too low for Paulo to clear. That means there was no train for the Lights on Rice, or for this weekend’s Waimea Lighted Christmas Parade.

But Leong made it to the Toys for Keiki run organized by Russell Haluapo on Sunday. Larry Feinstein said Seth Womble is working on another miracle for The Kauai Beer Company — stay tuned.
In the meantime, Karen Ono said Jeff Corona from Aloha Kia Kauai was gracious enough to provide a car for all the toys while J.C. Crouch got stuck with the food in the back of his truck (it did say Kauai Harley-Davidson on it). The regular park users of the Historic County Building lucked out because all of the food not consumed by the motorcycle riders got left behind for them to enjoy.
Jeff Sacchini is going to get a new papaya addition courtesy of John Tudal (met him at the Kauai Culinary Market in Kukuiula) and did Amanda Gawin (she had a SPAM hat with character on) make it to see the SPAM tree at the Festival of Lights?
OK, time to head out to Kalaheo School … if I get there early, Laine Griffith and the Kalaheo Sunshine Express might still be on. Ho! Ho! Ho!
