“If you’ve got money, the chairs are for sale,” said Ailene Beady, a resident at the Regency at Puakea during the rummage and craft fair.
Sharon Lasker said it was because of Ailene’s efforts at sorting with grace and patience that the rummage sale was a success. Pam Arrojo said it was nice the weather cooperated so the residents could get outside and enjoy the activity with the shoppers and vendors. Pam said the Lihue Patriots at least scored in Las Vegas (congratulations to Kyle Linoz and the Hanapepe Colts on the 38-14 win!) when the Honolulu teams were shut out, and in Florida, the Lihue Pop Warner cheerleaders (they come home Saturday afternoon) finished eighth in the national competition.
For all those who will “get around to it,” San Henline of the Unknown Artists (she said the county liked her last event and wants her to do more) had “Round Tuits” which Debby Thompson thought made perfect stocking stuffers. Henline was joined by cover girl Athel Schott and Lory Cummings, who are also Unknown Artists.
Judi Murakami had her mom in tow but couldn’t find her Aunty May Kawakami.
Melinda Uohara was doing some jewelry, and said she’ll be helping Mark Perriello and Carol Manera Texeira of the Kauai Chamber of Commerce after the holidays.
