Happy Camper for Dec. 7, 2015
Charlene Adric does her array of items, including kitchen items like towels, magnets and even cookbooks, as therapy and only offers them at the All Saints’ HolidayCraft Fair.
Shinil Quilty (her daughter Melissa Morgan came to visit from California Friday night and was out working Saturday) has her Kauai Made logo proudly displayed. Doesthis mean she’ll be at the big holiday fair Saturday at the Kauai Community College with the Kauai Community Market?
Liz Ronaldson (her “Merry Christmas” ti is going strong) was helping Peter McHugh of Anthuriums & More at the fair, the Queen’s Tears (it’s a relative of thepineapple) in bloom along with a specimen of “Pumpkin,” a miniature anthurium that Liz said is well-behaved as a cut flower.
Fred Baum had his supply of wood products, including toy cars, truck and trailer sets, and wall hangings which he created using some of the wood he recycles from aHanapepe furniture store (go visit Ted Fleming at Kauai Fine Arts for some ideas on photographing stars). He was talking about adjusting to Kauai from life in Oregon(he had a really nice Ducks cap, Judge Randal Valenciano).
Of course, Ellie Yu, who was a winner at the Wilcox Hospital (Faith Campbell said the Wilcox Hospital Christmas trees are on display now until 8 p.m., daily in thelobby) as well as the Kukui Grove Halloween costume contest, had the best idea — enjoy a croissant with Rev. Ryan Newman (he’s flying, again).
