Enough said about George Bush
Gordon Oswald stated in his recent letter: “One thing for sure, there would be no ISIS in business today under Bush.”
I read something similar the other day: “Say what you will about George Bush, but he wouldn’t have stood for ISIS’ attacks in Paris. He’d have invaded Cuba by now.”
Enough said.

Places to learn about Mohammed
Regarding recent letters about Mohammed. Any one who would like to educate themselves regarding the career of Mohammed and the history of Islam would do well to explore the Jewish Encyclopedia. The Jewish Encyclopedia, which recently became part of the public domain, contains over 15,000 articles and illustrations. The work’s scholarship is still highly regarded: the American Jewish Archives has called it “the most monumental Jewish scientific work of modern times.”
This website, “jewishencyclopedia.com,” contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published between 1901-1906.
Thus, the scholarship is free from the politics of the last 110 years.
Relevant searches would include MOHAMMED and ISLAM

Kudos to TGI and The Star Advertiser
With a great amount of luck, I was finally able to meet our TGI delivery man. Today is Thanksgiving Day, and by my good fortune, the paper was late. It was 9 a.m. as opposed to the normal 6 a.m. delivery. I am never up at 6 a.m.
“Lito” stopped in our driveway at 9 a.m. and I was lucky enough to dash out to meet him. I wanted to know who this mystery delivery person was who always delivered our paper safely on the garage driveway. I complimented him, as prior TGI delivery folks just tossed the papers any old way, on the cul de sac, where cars would drive over, smash the plastic cover and the wet newspapers were not that great.
I had a chance to find out from “Lito” that he had been the manager at a Kauai restaurant, and was working 12 hours a day; seven days a week. No time off! He quit. Someone at The Star Advertiser came to him from Honolulu, and offered the position of TGI delivery manager for the North Shore. He manages two delivery folks. Funny how The Star Advertiser knew who to choose! I would hire him in an instant!
I was very impressed with him as a delivery man that he is, and more, as the kind of person I would want as a friend. He reminds me of my best Filipino friends I had in Waimea when in Waimea High School.
