Kudos to Marionette Taboniar and all the Women Artists of Kauai who turned out for the Hanapepe United Church of Christ (Joanne Nakashima said they’re hosting “A Fabulous Four” concert Sunday from 5 p.m.) art show benefiting the church’s free weekly community lunch program.
Petrina Blakely of Princeville said she’s been making clothes (have you seen the Quiet Chicken (Donia Lily was smelling cooking chicken?) for about 35 years, starting with her children and now moving on to her grandchildren. She was thrilled to meet artist Leslie Hagen of Kapaa in person after dealing with her for a while through etsy and facebook.

Gayle Konishi (she was at the Kauai Handworks Kauai Craft Fair) said Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School media instructor Kevin Matsunaga is also coordinating a craft fair from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 12 to benefit the school’s media program.
