Chef Michael Young, acting executive chef at the Sheraton Kauai Resort in Poipu has done it, and has video footage to prove it.
More than 70 people attended a viewing of the Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen” featuring Young and three other chefs on Sunday. It showed them navigating challenges while having the opportunity to sabotage their opponents in a three-round elimination cooking competition.
Proceeds from the special showing at the Sheraton Kauai Resort went to the Table 53 “You Dine, We Donate” program to help launch December’s beneficiary, which is the Kauai Interscholastic Federation.
Daniel Hamada, principal of Kapaa High School and the president of the KIF, was joined by Kauai Area Complex Superintendent Bill Arakaki and Kauai High School principal Anne Kane at the event.
