The supply of paper plates were running low, and Wendy Oyama got to put on her turkey hat Thursday during the Kapaa Interfaith Association Thanksgiving lunch at the All Saints’ Gym.
Kellie Pleas had on her Hokuala cap (isn’t that the same one from the blessing?) as she took her place among the servers. April Barnes is good to go, and hopefully, will be cleared in time for the first soccer matches coming up Dec. 12, and Raquel Matayoshi is already looking forward to girls basketball.
Dimples Kano (she was also helping at the Salvation Army luncheon with Taylor Henry, Grace Yatsko (father Jack did the Turkey Trot before lunch), and Malana Lopez) was going crazy dispensing foil covers, and now jumps right into the Zonta of Kauai Christmas Fund drive.
Jim Jung said he was disappointed because he dressed up as a pilgrim for the little ones, but there weren’t that many, and kudos to Beth Tokioka (Emma was home from Kamehameha Schools and came, too) and Marty Amaro were helping serve for the first time!
OK, time to check out Cyber Monday!
