An open house is scheduled from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the new Malama Pono Health Service offices, 4366 Kukui Grove Street, Suite 205 next to the Kukui Grove Cinemas.
There will be tours, refreshments and presentations on Malama Pono’s expanded services.
The open house will take place in conjunction World AIDS Day.
World AIDS Day is an opportunity for the community to learn about HIV/AIDS and help fight the HIV/AIDS stigma, states a release from Malama Pono. There are more than 4,500 people in Hawaii living with AIDS.
Although there isn’t a cure for the disease, testing for the virus and treatment is available.
Malama Pono Health Services was founded in 1986. Its mission is to provide compassionate health care services and education to meet the needs of people on Kauai.
