Darrellyn Lemke (Coach Bill was doing “assembly line” duty Wednesday) couldn’t figure out why Dimples Kano was looking at her Zonta nametag. The Zonta Club of Kauai was volunteering (there was an entirely different crew volunteering Sunday at Pink Sunday)

The Zonta Club of Kauai was volunteering (there was an entirely different crew volunteering Sunday at Pink Sunday) at the annual Salvation Army community Thanksgiving luncheon (kudos to Lt. Elizabeth Gross and Lt. James Combs on a great event!) at the convention hall.
Kudos to Joan Kealalio and Emi Esaki of the Kapaa High School Interact Club, and Gayle Thompson and the Leadership Class at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School on the great volunteerism effort. Joan said some of the Interact students will extend themselves and volunteer at the Kapaa Interfaith Association lunch, as well.
Gayle said the students just got through with the Veterans Day lei for the Hanapepe Veterans Cemetery, completed the Operation Christmas Child, and are getting ready to finalize the school’s food drive.
Sara Miura said they are giving people a break for Thanksgiving and Deja Vu Surf Hawaii will open at 7 this morning with its Black Friday deals. Good luck out there!
