Jasper on short list for Regent appointment
Jori-Anne Jasper, an alumnus of Kauai High School, is on the list of finalists for appointments to the University of Hawaii Board of Regents.
Jasper is one of four candidates on the student seat for a two-year appointment, which starts July 1. Her pending appointment, submitted to Gov. David Ige Wednesday, is subject to confirmation by the Hawaii State Senate.
The Board of Regents is the governing body of the University of Hawaii and consists of 15 members, including seven from the City and County of Honolulu, two from Hawaii County, two from Maui County, one from Kauai County, two at large members and one University of Hawaii student.
