Congratulations to Beverly Manuel and her crew at Cruise Kauai which opened its doors for business Wednesday at The Shops at Kukuiula. Beverly said they’ll celebrate a blessing later when the store owners get here.
The Kauai Chamber of Commerce has been busy, visiting with Jacy Youn (who knew Jaye Youn of the Marriott Courtyard at Coconut Beach was her mom?) for a Business Before Hours event Tuesday before adjourning to the Kukui Grove Center for a soft opening celebration with Mary Hansen and the Genki Sushi (irrashaimasu!) ohana Wednesday. Barbara Gusman said they also had a chamber event Wednesday night at the Courtyard.
Kudos to Mark Perriello and Carol Manera Texeira for all the hard work getting everything coordinated!
Kudos also to Helaine Perel, Melissa McFerrin-Warrack (she had Panda Express opening in the Hokulei Village, too) for balancing the juggling act of the new Cruise Kauai and the launch of the Koloa Elementary School holiday gift bags campaign where even Santa (aka Phil Worwa) got to extend his shopping trip to help Kumu Rachel Iha and the ukulele band, and the little singers (Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. was doing grandpa duty).
