Heather Anders is a happy camper (from Oahu) who paints happy pictures. She was painting inside the Tabora Gallery at the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club Wednesday while Dickie Chang went down to check on Bill Countryman, Shana Andres, and all the people packing “Any Soldier Care Packages.”
Kudos to Alyssa Racca of the Kalapaki Grill (one day, it’s going to be open when I pass) for returning to pack another box after her recipient from last year came to Kauai especially to meet her after reading her inspirational note.
Jo-Betsy Kazen (the Kauai High School drum major, Kalena Kazen-Batteiger, is her daughter) said Roy Tabora will be painting at the gallery next Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Meanwhile, Heather is going to check out the Marriott craft fair Friday because it takes place about the time she checks out (starts at 9 a.m.).
Jerry McCarthy of San Antonio (they have a house in Idaho, too) came to congratulate Ed Kawamura of the Kauai Veterans Council on a great Veterans Day service.
