LIHUE — The Hawaii State Department of Health Clean Air Branch has issued Notices and Findings of Violations and Orders against four facilities in the state.
Hawaii BioEnergy AlgaeCo, LLC aka Hawaii BioEnergy, LLC was cited for late submittal of a 2013 monitoring report on their algae farm in Lihue. The violation was noted during an April 22, 2014 annual inspection and a fine of $1,700 has been paid.
Other citations were issued against facilities on Oahu, the Big Island and Maui.
The DOH Clean Air Branch monitors air quality and regulates businesses that release pollutants into the air.
