The University of Hawaii’s men’s golf A team slipped to sixth place after round two of the Kaanapali Collegiate Classic Invitational.
UH’s A team collectively shot 299 on Saturday to bring its total score to 581 (13-over-par) and the B team shot 313 to bring its total to 614 (46-over-par) at the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course on Maui.
Oklahoma remained in the top spot of the team leaderboard after day two with a total of 557 (11- under-par). Georgia is second with 563 (5-under-par) and North Carolina State is third with 565 (3-under-par).
UH junior James Horton recorded a 74 to bring his total to 141 (1-under-par) and is tied with two others for 11th place on the individual leaderboard.
Kapaa High School alumnus and UH freshman Bryden Salvador, has a two-day total of 156 (14-over-par). Kauai High alumnus and UH junior Justin Tokioka, so far has a score of 158 (16-over-par).
Georgia’s Zach Healy took first place on the individual leaderboard after the second round, shooting a 66 to bring his total to 134 (8-under-par). Oklahoma’s Grant Hirschman and Ball State’s Johnny Watts is tied for second with 137 (5-under-par).
The final round of the Maui tournament is today. Shotgun start is 8:30 a.m.
